All those little moments add up to a wonderful life

Sometimes, a simple, clean portrait photo may not feel like the right option. Our lives, loves and stories are usually pretty messy, after all, and to leave out that mess can leave out the things that are most meaningful to us.

In a documentary portrait session, we won’t direct poses or control the scene. Rather, we will let it flow naturally and create photos that feel completely true to you. These photos are some of my very favorite to make, because they capture our stories and lives, rather than just how we look when we know the camera is on us.
